The EdgeX SDR offers precise R2+ edge rounding, ensuring safe handling and excellent results in painting and coating. Its multi-stage abrasive process creates non-directional patterns, minimizing visible scratches and grain, making it ideal for high-contact areas. The smooth, consistent finish also serves as a perfect base for further surface treatments like painting or powder coating.

Principle

Drum Head (Wide Sanding Belt) Module

Positioned at the front of the machine, the drum head module handles standard deburring, deslagging, and initial surface smoothing. With automated abrasive compensation and belt tracking, it effectively removes vertical burrs and slag from cutting, punching, and shearing processes.

Top Brush Module

Located mid-line, the top brush module combines vertical rotation with horizontal oscillation, making it highly effective for interior slot chamfering, hole deburring, and detailed internal edge treatment. It also contributes to overall edge rounding performance.

Rotary Brush Module

At the final stage, rotary brushes arranged in offset rows deliver non-directional grain finishing and complete the edge rounding process. When combined with the top brushes, this configuration enables R2+ edge rounding—ensuring smooth, consistent edge profiles suitable for high-spec coating and safety requirements.

Workpiece Retention & Conveyor Module

The system features a high-damping conveyor belt with variable speed control for stable workpiece transport. Depending on material type, parts are secured using pressure rollers and either vacuum adsorption or magnetic retention, ensuring precise alignment throughout all finishing stages.
