Principle
Dual Drum Head (Wide Sanding Belt) Module
The Surfex® SSR is equipped with two wide sanding belt drum heads arranged in sequence at the front of the machine. This dual-stage setup allows for the use of different grit levels to achieve a more refined surface finish while enhancing the effectiveness of deburring and deslagging. Together, the two drum heads remove vertical burrs, slag, and surface imperfections with greater precision before the workpiece reaches the final finishing stage.
Rotary Brush Module
Rotary brushes are arranged in multiple offset rows to ensure full coverage across the workpiece. While the brushes assist in deburring and light deslagging, their primary function in this configuration is edge rounding and non-directional grain finishing. Driven by a central rotation axis, each brush spins at high speed and strikes the surface uniformly, delivering consistent chamfering and R-radius edge rounding across both external and internal contours.
Workpiece Retention & Conveyor Module
The conveyor system features a high-damping belt with variable frequency speed control, ensuring smooth, stable transport during processing. Workpieces are securely held in place through a combination of pressure rollers and either high-negative-pressure vacuum adsorption or high-strength magnetic retention, depending on the material type. This system maintains precise alignment and stability throughout each finishing stage.
