Our Booth: Three Machines, One Message

Together with our Benelux partner Klaassen Advanced Technology, Evotec occupied a prominent space at Booth C054/C055/D054 in HAL 8 — a setup that was notable not only for its footprint, but for the fact that multiple machines were running live throughout the show.

Three flagship systems were on display and in operation:

EdgeX SDR 1300 — Delivering precision R2+ edge rounding, aggressive deburring, and non-directional finishing in a powerful tri-module configuration.

SurfeX SR 1000 — A versatile surface finishing system engineered for consistent deburring, deslagging, and coating-ready surface preparation.

EdgeX SDR 800 — A compact yet high-performance solution designed for streamlined environments where reliable edge rounding and finishing precision are non-negotiable.

Seeing these machines operate in real time — not as static displays, but as working systems processing parts —gave visitors exactly the kind of confidence that brochures and spec sheets alone cannot provide.

A Shift in Conversation Quality

Trade shows evolve. What stood out at TechniShow 2026 was not just the volume of visitors at our booth, but the depth of the conversations. Engineers came prepared. Production managers arrived with specific challenges. The questions we fielded moved quickly past"what does it do?" and straight into "how does it integrate with our existing line?" and "what are the maintenance requirements at high shift volumes?"

That shift signals something meaningful: finishing automation is no longer being evaluated as a nice-to-have. It is increasingly treated as a core production investment — one that affects coating quality, downstream assembly, operator safety, and overall throughput.

Why Deburring and Edge Rounding Are Having Their Moment

The interest we observed at TechniShow aligns with a broader trend in modern fabrication. As laser cutting, punching, and plasma cutting become faster and more precise, the bottleneck is increasingly shifting downstream — to the finishing step that prepares parts for coating, welding, or assembly.

Evotec's systems address this directly. Our machines deliver 20–30%energy savings versus standard industry models, achieve up to 99% dust removal efficiency, and are built around the principle that a single operator should be able to manage the entire finishing line — from raw cut part to coating-ready surface.
