Evotec Debuts the SurfeX SRS at FABTECH 2026: Deburring, Edge Rounding, and Line-Grain Finishing in One Pass
HENGSHUI, China — Evotec Group will debut the SurfeX SRS at FABTECH 2026, bringing its newest finishing machine to North American fabricators for the first time. The SRS combines deburring, edge rounding, and uniform line-grain finishing in a single continuous pass — turning three finishing steps into one.

Key Takeaways
Built on Evotec's double-drum architecture, the SRS pairs a first drum head that removes burrs, slag, and oxide layers with rotary brushes for consistent edge rounding, then finishes with a dedicated grain head that applies a uniform brushed texture. The result: coating-ready parts with a clean, consistent line-grain surface, whether the material is stainless steel, carbon steel, brass, or aluminum.
"Fabricators keep telling us the same thing — they want fewer steps between the laser and the paint line," said Rambo Lee, Global Sales Director at Evotec Group. "The SRS was engineered to answer exactly that. One pass in, finished parts out. At FABTECH, visitors can bring their own sample parts and watch it happen live."
Like every Evotec machine, the SRS is built on the company's core integrated systems: servo lift positioning accurate to 0.01 mm, automated abrasive compensation and belt tracking, intelligent maintenance monitoring, and multi-layered safety with 4-second emergency braking. Available in working widths from 800 to 1600 mm, it arrives ready to run — plug in, power up, and train operators in minutes. The SRS is also covered by Evotec's 3-year warranty, now available worldwide.
